MY HOUSE

Welcome to my house! I live in Hillsborough with my husband and our cat. The home was built in 1936 and is a whopping 800 square feet. We don't have a room for every activity, so many rooms have more than one function, which means we've had to be creative with our storage and organization solutions! Please enjoy a brief tour of our home...

KITCHEN

This little galley kitchen is the workhorse of our home. In addition to cooking and cleaning, I also do laundry, sewing, ironing, crafting, flower arranging, weight lifting, and mail/office work here. The cat box, trash can, washer/dryer, and tools are under the counters. The dishes and flower vase collection are on open shelving to the right (not pictured). Most items are stored in cubbies under the center island, which seats 8.  Pots and pans hang over the stove. The island is on casters and can be pushed up against the wall during my workouts. Craft items are stored in chests of drawers in the bedrooms.

LIVING ROOM

This is where we read, receive guests, play cards, play music, dance, and do yoga. We do not have a television in our home. But we can watch movies on the laptop!

MASTER BEDROOM

This room is restful and comfortable. It is also easy to clean. My husband's clothing is on the left and mine is on the right. The chest on the left holds sewing supplies. The chest on the right holds off season clothing as well as my crazy sock collection. The decoupaged box on top of the chest holds my laptop computer.

GUEST BEDROOM

The guest room is very restful and cozy. The closets hold off season garments and luggage. The two chests hold jewelry, craft supplies, my ukulele and musical paraphernalia, and two drawers are empty for guests to use while visiting.

BATHROOM

The bathroom is one of my favorite rooms. It feels like I'm in a spa! The solar tube provides natural light above. The matching toothbrush cups hold fresh flowers. The medicine cabinet holds daily essentials. The hall closet houses miscellaneous toiletries, blankets, bed and table linens plus our stuffed toy collection (not pictured).
